Kunal played electric bass for Chili Beatz from 2007 to 2010. He has been involved in music longer than he can remember. He first started out on piano at the age of 10, then moving on to the trumpet and saxophone. He taught himself how to play Tabla and then picked up an electric bass about 6 years ago. His formative years on the instrument led him to complex rhythmic themes and he started playing for a jazz band. He has performed with many different groups, which range from jazz-fusion to progressive rock. He has played electric bass with Chili Beatz since it's conception and has studied with names such as Chuck Rainey, Victor Wooten, Steve Bailey and Adam Nitti. Kunal enjoys adding as much energy as he can to performances, and likes to get audiences moving with the groove of the music.
